Our Fellow Man

12“In everything you do, be careful to treat others in the same way you’d want them to treat you, for that is the essence of all the teachings of the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12

What The World Needs Now

I asked God today what He wanted you to know. He said tell them I LOVE THEM! I was thinking, yes, but how do you relay God’s heart on that subject.? Especially in such a fallen world as we see today. His heart is so BIG. His heart is inviting us to all come in and know Him. So, knowing that in my heart, it took me awhile to understand HOW to relay that beautiful sentiment from God to you.

The first thing that came up was a song from the 1960’s called “What The World Needs Now” released in 1965, written by Burt Barach and Hal David. It was sung by Jackie De Shannon and later Dionne Warwick. It was originally offered to Dionne Warwick who turned it down. Dionne Warwick went on to record an album named Here Where The Love Is. Jackie De Shannon also recorded Put A Little Love In Your Heart. The You Tube video link is here for What The World Needs Now. https://youtu.be/XieZAjBTkr4

God is an amazing God who loves to use songs to relay things to us. He uses music and song to touch the deep places in our heart. It is part of His Glory. The Glory is His manifested goodness towards us and to us. Yes, the music and song does not have to be a song only sung in church. The source of that music and song originated from Him first since, we are made in His image. We can tap in for music and song. One of the last songs I can remember from Him to me was, Cinnamon Girl, by Neil Young. He knows me well as I am His spicy girl!

God’s Love for us is unrivaled. We know He sent His only begotten son to come to earth and die for the punishment for sin. Jesus took on the sins of the world because He loved us and wanted a Family. John 3:16 KJV ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He loved us first.

Love brings many things to our lives. It brings healing, revelation, abundance, gain, righteousness, more than enough, restitution, grace, deliverance, restoration, recompense, joy, true happiness, dreaming, creating, movement, freedom, wisdom, motion forward, safety, provision, vision, comfort, miracles, signs and wonders, to list a few. Jesus invites us to himself to experience life with Him. We need to get to know Him more by spending time with him in worship and meditating on His word. Talking about Him to our family, friends and neighbors draws His heart near to us. He Loves the exchange of His relationship with us. He Loves to hear us brag about Him. I know people are hurt by human Love that is immature or not represented well. Take the time to learn about unconditional love and sacrificial Love given to us freely from our Jesus.

The 1960’s was a powerful time, like no other, of searching and looking for Love. It was represented in ways that never looked to good. I know there were unsavory things going on however it was a time like now that were shaking up the norms. God uses these times to draw us near. I was only eleven years old in 1967. I was aware of many different things going on in the world. Looking back, it seemed normal because that is what we knew. I remember Vietnam on television and musical change such as the Rock N Roll everything. There was much, much more that was taking place during that time. Even as a child we somehow knew. It feels alot like now.

These next scriptures are how God’s constant love comes towards us.

God Is Love

1 John 4:7-10 TPT

7Those who are loved by God, let his love continually pour from you to one another, because God is love. Everyone who loves is fathered by God and experiences an intimate knowledge of him. 8The one who doesn’t love has yet to know God, for God is love.  9The light of God’s love shined within us when he sent his matchless  Son into the world so that we might live through him.  10This is love:  He loved us long before we loved him. It was his love, not ours. He proved it by sending his Son to be the pleasing sacrificial offering to take away our sins.

Let God’s Love continually find you and saturate your heart. Lean on His Love and you will never be disappointed.!

My New Health Journal Coloring Book

It’s Time to Get Focused on Healing

People living with chronic pain and illnesses can easily fall into depression, anxiety, addictions, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts and attempts. It is difficult to manage doctor appointments, medications, and self-care. This journal offers healthy thoughts, tracks daily activities, offers suggestions, and can be a diversion from bad days. Art therapy has a positive influence on struggling people. Coloring and doodling can give someone a place to focus while managing their day. A Journal also offers a place for sick and hurting people to find hope. Hope is critical for people fighting illness or adversity. And we need to fight with spirit, soul, and body.

The author, Jana Rawling, currently suffers from several rare diseases, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Dysautonomia, Lymphedema, and more. She understands what it’s like to be sick with chronic, degenerative illnesses and how helpful it is to have some way to track her conditions. That was the catalyst to creating this book. She prays that everyone stay positive and be healed through miracles that life and love has to offer.

Spirit-Filled Life Without Purpose

You Have God Inside of You

If you don’t know your calling and purpose in life, you are doing it wrong. You will not thrive and succeed without knowing, and living as the person you were made to be. Success in life here on earth means you’ve done what God had planned for you to do. Think of Moses, he was supposed to enter the promised land but wasn’t able to because of his rebellion. And what about King David being unable to build the temple? Everything you do must be done for the Lord. And everything you do must be working toward your purpose, and destiny, as you serve the Body of Christ. If you are an eye in the Body don’t waste time trying to be a hand. Do the thing you were made to do wherever you are at.

I understand this is all easier said than done. I may even be making you mad. But I’m telling you the truth. There is good news though. God wrote your Book of Life before the foundation of the world. He loves you and wants you to learn here on earth to prepare you for your life to come in eternity. You will be judged for what you’ve done with the calling, talents, and gifts you’ve been given. God gives us all enough grace to do what we can with whatever we are doing. Allow yourself to grow, mature, and discover your strengths. Reframe your mind to be okay with failure. Failure is merely an opportunity to learn. God gives you grace, so give some to yourself.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. -- Romans 8:28, New King James Version (NKJV)

I Discovered My Purpose & it Wasn’t Easy

My church had been going through Rick Warren’s book, “The Purpose Driven Life,” and I was determined to know my purpose. I went on a hike one day striving to know what I was supposed to be doing. I even wrote a book about it titled, “Hardwired for Purpose: Blazing Trails to Follow God’s Lead.” That book took years to write and process mentally and emotionally. I expected the hike to be a relaxing time with God in nature; sitting beside a babbling creek. I thought I was going to sit there and get my life purpose while doing a Bible study. I had a backpack full of supplies. I had a couple of Bible translations, a Concordance, water bottles, a blanket, pens and highlighters, and my journal.

So I drove to the mountain trailhead where I wanted to hike and found a wonderful spot to rest. God said to keep going. I kept hiking up the trail to another spot that I liked and God said to keep going. I hiked about five miles up that mountain before I could finally stop. The place God wanted me to go wasn’t even on the trail. It was straight up the shale mountainside to a single pine tree in the distance.

In my book, I share all of the details of that hike, including revelation I received. God is so good. It was a hard day, but I learned so much that it was worth it . And best of all, I found my purpose in the sum of Psalm 96. Now, I know what to do, and I just need to work out the details as I continue my walk of salvation.

I encourage everyone to find their purpose and calling. Knowing what God has planned for you offers hope and a future. You receive promises from God in your purpose for growth and joy, and you can be sure that if you are still here, He’s not done with you yet.

A Song of Praise to God Coming in Judgment
Psalm 96 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.
For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
Give to the Lord glory and strength.
Give to the Lord the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns;
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be moved;
He shall judge the peoples righteously.”
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice
13 before the Lord.
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.

— Psalm 96, NKJV
