Worshipping God is done from a heart posture of desiring Him alone. We may not fully comprehend the fullness of desiring Him alone. There are many distractions in the world to draw us away from His heart and countless misrepresentations of who God is. The relationship with God is just like any other relationship in the matter of taking time to spend with Him. In spending time with Him we get to know Him.
As we begin to know Him better, we may start to feel His presence and start to hear His voice. We will start to feel the gentle tugs to spend time with Him His presence is irresistible. It begins to increase as He woos us into His presence. We start to notice the atmosphere change into something that we may have never felt before spending time with Him. The conversations we start to have with Him become very real and confirming that He hears our heart’s cry to Him.
The more our intimacy builds with Him, we start to understand His nature and character that formed us and the world that is natural and beautiful. He enters the crevices of our heart and cleans out the fear, doubt, anxiety, and heals the trauma, hurts and losses and much more. He very gently comes into our heart space and gently caresses our heart strings, that only He can heal. He created us and knows every part of our hearts, he is the only one who knows ALL of us.
He reveals Himself when we sing, dance, create with Him, use our natural and spiritual gifts, being grateful, serving others, reading our scriptures, and our testimonies. he is ALWAYS GOOD. I encourage you to search Him out and His word to discover His goodness. Even in the midst of darkness He is GOOD. I am going to share below two of my favorite scriptures about His goodness.
[Psalm 23:6 KJV] 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
[Psalm 27:13 KJV] 13 [I had fainted], unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
